Biography
William Wordsworth (1770-1850) is closely connected to poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge, with whom he wrote Lyrical Ballads, a major work of the English Romantic movement. There were known, along with Robert Southey, as the Lake Poets, because they all lived and wrote in the Lake District of England at the turn of the 19th century. Wordsworth’s major themes were nature and loss.
